Random Tuesday Strikes Again

I decided to jump back into blogging today because it's Tuesday...
randomtuesday
And I just really enjoy Random Tuesday Thoughts!
***********
Reading "Self" magazine when you're three months pregnant is a very bad idea.

I'm at the phase where my normal pants are uncomfortable now, but I don't look pregnant.

I just look chubby. All those flat bellies and exercise tips I can't do right now aren't helping the old self image at all.

I can't wait to get past the puking part and move onto the cute belly and feeling little kicks phase.
*************

I've never been a huge watcher of Jon and Kate Plus Eight, but I did watch it for a few months when I was a zombie nursing that tiny baby nursing five hours a day.

I'm not shocked by their big divorce announcement, but I was secretly hoping that they were canceling the show. Seems like it might be time to kick the cameras out and circle the wagons before it got to the point of divorce.

And I don't buy the whole show must go on bit at all.

My folks split when I was about 10 and I'm thankful there is no footage of that time. I won't want the entire world watching the drama.

**************
The whole metro crash is just surreal - Death Toll Reaches 9 in D.C. train crash

My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families.

I've ridden on the metro many times and I honestly didn't know they went fast enough to end up on top of each other. I'm curious to learn more about what happened.
***************

We are heading up to Pennsylvania for a long weekend to visit the in laws so I might be MIA for a few days.

I promise I'll be back in action once I start feeling better and we quit traveling so much.

Hope all is well with everyone! Have a great Tuesday.

glad to hear your random thoughts :) i hope your puking days will soon come to an end! i never actually got sick, but certainly had my moments of feeling like it was going to happen.

i was also 10 when my parents divorced, and agree that i would not want any footage of that devestating point in our lives! though it turned out better than i could have imagined, it was awful in those moments.

hope your little trip does you good!!

Here's to the end of the puking and the beginning of the kicking!

As for Jon and Kate? What a bunch of idiots. That's all I have to say.

And the metro? Tragic and scary.

Have a wonderful trip and take your time returning to bloggy land...

Have fun in PA with your cute little pregnant self! You're going to be feeling those kicks before you know it.

Congratulations on the pregnancy! Are you still watching J&K+8? That might be causing some of your nausea :) Enjoy your trip.

Ha! The pants...I wrote about the exact SAME thing this week. Haven't put it up yet, but I will soon. Happy Tuesday - glad you're back!

Since I didn't know I was pregnant until I was 5-1/2 months along, I was mad at myself when my 'normal' pants started to not fit. :) You're round pregnancy belly will be here before you know it - and the somersaults and kicks will be momentous. :)

I had to click over and read - I get caught up in bloggyland so much I forget to read the news. So sad about the crash.

Too funny you're heading up to PA when we're heading South at the same time... I'll wave as we pass by each other. ;) Have fun - the weather should cooperate nicely for you... :)

Two train wrecks in the same week. "Kate and Jon" and the Metro. Sadly there are victims in both.

Take care. The puking stage should stop soon...crosses fingers

so far all the blogs I've read today have mentioned JK8. I also blogged about them. so sad.

hope you are feeling better soon too!! i was fortunate and no morning sickness while PG. I'm paying the price now as I deal with the weaning issues.

I hadn't heard about the DC crash. Shows you that I'm living under a rock. Had to go read about it on Google. Very sad.

Have a safe trip!!

I remember the 'feeling ugly' part about being pregnant. We really aren't, but we feel that way.

Have a terrific day. :)

Never pregnant- no comment...just hope you feel better!

Actually, reading "Self" magazine at any time is a bad idea. At least for me.

And that kicking part is the best, isn't it? That was my favorite part of being pregnant and the only part I miss.

I think Jon and Kate should end the show too. Seriously, why put the kids through this. I don't buy that it wasn't the show.

I haven't seen too much about the Metro train crash because it freaks me out. Must be even weirder for you.

Be well and have fun traveling.

have a good visit with the in-laws
Totally with you on the Jon and Kate thing.
And the train wreak is heartbreaking...

Hope the puking stops soon. I miss the feeling of little feet! Happy RTT!

I hope the morning sickness stops soon!
Ditto on the DC tragedy.
Sad about the whole Jon/Kate fiasco, especially when it comes to the kids.

I hated that not quite looking preggo and just feeling fat phase too. Now I don't have an excuse.

Oh holy crap, MY blog habits have been lax as of late and I didn't know you were expecting...( I was really wanting to write "knocked up," but don't know how that would go over---preg ladies are so touchy. And me being well on the other side of the breeding fence, well. I should use a little restraint). So congrats to you K! It is an intense time in your life to say the least.
I have children who are DATING members of the poopsite sex (although I'm not sure I'd feel better about it if it were the same sex---just that there's potential for SEX)...Ok I'm rambling.
Hang in there.

I was also hoping that Jon and Kate were announcing that they were cancelling the show so they could concentrate on their family.

I'm shocked that the show is still going on. It doesn't seem appropriate..

I am totally with you on the Jon and Kate thing. They really need to stop the show for the shake of the kids. It is NOT a good time in their lives.

Hope puking ends soon. Don't you just want a shirt that says I am Pregnant, not Fat! I know I always did.

Jon and Kate make me so sad.

I can't wait for the puking part to be over either. I was so sick that I once told the manager of a Chick fil A that his was the cleanest public restroom I had ever vomited in.
EWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!

You have the best random thoughts. Sometimes I think you are reading my mind. Which means I just implied that I have the best random thoughts. oops.

Jon and Kate make me mad and sad. Who is advising them? Anyone who REALLY cares about them? Seems like they could use a reality check. No pun intended. Such screwed up priorities.
I actually cried watching their show last night. sheesh.

I am so excited for you and your baby and family! The first kicks...so sweet.

Frau said...

So over Jon and Kate and I only watched it once. Sorry you are feeling repo sickness. Hope you have safe travels.

I was watching a movie last night where everyone was 21 and drop dead gorgeous. I needed a large chocolate milkshake to drown my sorrow brought on by comparing.

enjoy your trip to PA. I live there(here) and it can be a nice state, depending on where you go.

Hope you get to the kicking phase soon! With the baby I mean. the good kicking phase...not the one where the baby kicks your ribs out of alignment or batters the hell out of your bladder.

Keely said...

Ah yes, the not-pregnant phase of being pregnant. Bummer...hope you get more obviously rotund, soon ;)

The whole J&K thing is totally unsurprising. No normal couple can survive that much stress.

adrienne said...

I remember there was a point where my normal pants fit better if I wore them backwards! Hope you feel better soon.

Mammatalk said...

Hope you are feeling better. Morning sickness is awful.

Wonder what your random thoughts are today? What a weird/sad day for celebrities!

I remember everything seeming to stretch out way too fast with the second, but then I leveled off and didn't look nearly as big by the end. Hope the same is true for you.

The Jon and Kate thing is bizarre. How about putting the show on hold and work on the marriage? Obviously they like the fame more than each other.

Have a great trip.
