Boogie Baby!

Did anybody else see this headline - Babies are Born to Boogie, Study Shows

I knew it!

My babies are definitely born to dance.

The little man has been "singing" since before he mastered words and he is always happiest when he's moving to the rhythm of music.

Is there anything cuter than little kid dancing? I really don't think so.

Anyway, a new study was done that "showed babies respond to the rhythm and temp of music and find it more engaging than speech". It seems it's the beat of the music, rather than the other features that really get them moving.

So grab your baby, blast some tunes and get grooving!

It's be good for both of you.

And if you don't have a little one, don't let that stop you from busting a move.

(Do people still say "bust a move"? I'm pretty sure I just dated myself there.)

I'm a big believer that a dance party is good for the soul (and probably the behind too).

hey, I'm an old mom so I already knew this...the "studies" are just catching up with me.

Hahaha. I thought this was gonna be about a different sort of boogies when I first read your title though.

I am right there with you. When I feel like I just can't take another minute with the kids, I turn on my iPod and dance. Soon we are all laugh and stress is gone.

I dance in my dining room to old records every Sunday morning.

(I think I just dated myself too)

Ha, ha.. you said "bust a move"(: If it dates you, then it dates me too.

I agree; C has been dancing up a storm lately, adorable.

Hope all of you are doing great!

Yeah, I think bust a move is pretty much over.....I don't know about the babies but I love to turn the music up and bounce around the kitchen when I'm cooking.....and drinking.

Lately my kids wear me out... I'm too tired to boogie!

I looked up the word interstitial and I still don't really know what it means. You may be smarter than me but I bet that I could whip your a** in a dance contest.

So there!

I mean this comment in the most loving way possible.

I definitely believe this! When he was little, my Little One was a huge fan of Jack's Big Music Show and would sit there and bounce up and down. SOOOOOO Cute!

Yup, Sprite loves to dance, loves to sing more. She's even busted out a few harmonies that surprised John and me.

My son and I were car dancing today to Copacabana...or Coco-banana, as he likes to call it. :-) Kids love to dance!

Definitely good for the behind! Not always so good for the hips, I found one recent late night dance marathon.

That's so cute. I guess that's why expecting mothers play music and sing to their stomachs.

I sing in a choir, and when my kid was still in utero, he would start to boogie every time the organ started blasting. He'd actually start kicking in rhythm. Wild.

This makes so much sense! My son LOVES to dance. He certainly beats my butt on the dance floor.

The other day, my stay at home husband was excited to show me how Charlotte was dancing to "All the single ladies". As tired as i am of this song, I too couldn't resist ooohing and ahhhing over her fab dance moves!
