Dear blog,
I'm sorry I'm such a fair weather visitor lately. I do love you. It's me, not you.
Things have just been a bit busy around here. It's all good things, but there are just a lot of them. I've been busy chasing the kids this summer. We've been to a lot of parks, gone on a lot of playdates, eaten extreme amounts of ice cream and all kinds of typical summer stuff. It's fun, but exhausting and when I get a few minutes to myself, I just want to read a trashy novel or stare at the wall. Some days, I just don't want to sit in front of the computer or think any more than necessary.
(As I write this my 19 month old is putting toys into my pocket now that she is done emptying my desk drawer...this about sums it up.)
Next on the schedule are two intense weeks of family bonding. My mom, stepfather, 14 year old step-nephew and 86 year old grandmother are coming into town next week and all staying with us. It should be fun, but it will definitely result in chaos. The week after we're heading to Virgina Beach with my in laws and my husband's grandmother. There parts of the next two weeks that I'm really looking forward too, but it will be A LOT of people in my house.
As a bonus, there is absolutely no way that I won't gather some awesome blog fodder.
So I am here. I'm happy and life is going well. I'm just busy living life offline right now. I'd be around in the bloggyhood when I can pull it off, but I might not be a very consistent blogger for the time being.
Love,
Me

You just got back from vacation, and now you're hosting guests on theirs? Wow, you ARE busy!
Hey glad you are having some good quality time! There is nothing important than ice cream! :)
what a busy summer! hope you have a great time.
Just enjoy your summer and your wonderful family. It's what life is all about.
Have a terrific weekend. :)
Sounds exhausting. I totaly get the feeling of wanting to sit and stare at the wall. Sometimes my son won't be quiet all day long, whether he is talking to me or not. I just want to blank out my mind. I understand how you feel.
Hopefully you will be able to get some rest too. :)
I'm right there with you!! I think blogging is much more suited to the winter months.
Hope you're enjoying the company! Summer is kicking my butt too, I have a feeling I'll be a way better blogger when school starts.
K! You're still blogging!!! I'm thinking about getting back into the saddle and decided to visit all my old friends. I can't believe how big your babies are now!! Your daughter had just been born when I fell off the edge of the blogosphere.
Great to 'see' you!
It's me too -- not you.
Hope the visit was glorious.
Give your grand-mom lots and lots and lots of hugs. I miss both mine.
