There are two things I missed most during my time away. First and foremost - the people. I love how blogging gives you a little window into people's lives. There is some awesome writing happening out there.
I find the depth of conversation so refreshing compared to most of my daily social interaction. I'm sure it has something to do with my entourage of little people, but I don’t get much opportunity to have “real” conversations with people other than my husband. I get to yell a few pleasantries over screaming kiddos at playdates, but I desperately need something a bit more substantial.
I also missed the way blogging helped me think about the world. As the primary parent of two under four, I find myself in many situations where it feels like there are only two choices: laugh or cry. Turning unsavory situations into posts just takes the sting out life. Whether it’s bodily fluids places they should never be or the time my baby accidently shop lifted cheese, it all seems much funnier when I share it here.
So thank you my blogging buddies for everything. Thank you for a much warmer welcome back than I deserve.
P.S. I'm thinking about getting a new template and maybe even changing the title. So don't be alarm if everything changes - it's just a much needed makeover.

Recap Part 1: The Kids
It's been so long since I visited blogland that I thought I'd do a quick update on the kiddos.
(I know it's a bit self indulgent and I promise to move along to other topics shortly. I'm still getting back in my blog groove.)
Thankfully, J and Audrey get along pretty well. J does occasionally suggest we leave her home or comments that she looks tired and needs a nap 15 minutes after she wakes up, but overall he loves her.
Audrey has grown into a giggling bundle of toddling mischief. She's about 15 months old now. Her favorite activities include emptying drawers, throwing things and trying to put stuff in the toilet.
She is finally walking and starting to talk a bit. She is a sassy little thing and definitely knows what she wants. I'm definitely busy these days, but at least I'm never bored!
J is truly a preschooler now. He's still a wild, active BOY with a capital B. He talks constantly and asks questions nonstop. (For the record, I wouldn't want him any other way.)
J is deep within the Super Heroes phase. He loves fighting bad guys and all things sport related.
Thankfully, they are both healthy, happy kids. We have had little drama beyond the normal chaos of two kids under 4. I'm a very lucky mommy.

Hi Again
Hi blog,
It's been awhile...a really long while.
It's good to see you again.
This is a bit awkward, but I've missed you.
I know I left a bit abruptly. I even flirted with another blog for a bit. I'd like to blame it on the sleep deprivation, but it was more than that. I was just plain burned out. I’ve been a terrible friend (not just to you…but in general).
I find the baby phase all consuming. She never did take bottles so I was on constant call for nursing. And when we put our house on the market, I was operating in survival mode.
But the baby isn’t a baby any more. And the move is a done deal.
Do you think we could start over?
